01/03/2014 | 2013 An Exciting Year Summed Up

Photo 12013 was a year filled with new events and fundraisers for the Furthering Community Unity (FCU) Team powered by Shell FCU. From walking animals at the Pasadena Animal Shelter, to collecting used textiles at SFCU locations, the FCU Team has been busy finding new ways to help out their surrounding communities.

With the help of the SFCU employees, membership and local community, the FCU Team was able to close 2013 with over 990 hours donated and, for the first time ever, raise more than $20,000.

The FCU Team would like to give a special thank you to Our Community Giving for partnering together on Bras for a Cause, Hope for the Holidays and the annual Boys and Girls Harbor Christmas Party.

Since its inception the FCU Team has volunteered more than 7, 138 hours and donated over $75,939 to its communities. The FCU Team powered by Shell FCU is excited about what is in store for 2014 and would like to encourage anyone who may be interested to volunteer with them.
